Business and Engineering Collaboration (BEC) Competition
The Business & Engineering Collaboration (BEC) competition is an innovative case competition for CEGEP students that brings together players from business and commerce, as well as engineering, pure and applied fields, to solve real-world problems. The competition, which lasts two months, offers students a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hone their teamwork, research, analytical, and presentation skills.
During the competition, students will collaborate in interdisciplinary teams to learn how to solve complicated challenges by combining technical knowledge with strategic business ideas. Participants benefit from hands-on workshops on effective teamwork, presentation delivery, and advanced research and analytical approaches, which provide them with the tools they need to succeed in a competitive setting.
The culmination of the BEC competition involves a high-stakes presentation round, where teams present their innovative solutions to a panel of esteemed judges from academia and industry. Winning teams earn the opportunity to compete at the university level, further enhancing their exposure to engineering and commerce challenges and expanding their professional networks.
BEC offers an unparalleled experience for aspiring leaders, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. It is more than just a competition—it is a transformative journey that prepares students for future academic and professional success.
