This is a research initiative amongst 5 Universities with the curiosity to understand leadership skill development across various countries.

Every year, top researchers and coaches come together to provide a unique experience for a special cohort of students to work with diverse team members. The top performing teams will present at the Finale conference of the World XP Open (WXPO).

Schedule for our 2 hours meeting. The session is recorded. 

  • 20 min – Welcome from the Hosts, Logistics and Set Up 
  • 20 min – Welcome from the Board of Mentors – expectations 
  • 10 min – Case Reveal and Team -Country Matching

  • 20 min – Teams go into breakout rooms, mentors are assigned 
  • 10 min  – Closing , final questions and begins the 7 days of prep

Registration for competitors begin in September and end on November 10th for the fall cohort.

Online Conference to welcome all cohorts, matchmaking, and case reveal.

Present to a Panel

Teams have 10 days to prepare their presentation and pitch to a panel of judges.

Finale Conference

Top Scoring teams are showcased and will present at the April Hybrid Conference. 
All competitors can continue the progress through the regular stream of 8 cases.

Cross-Continental Cohort

How do I register for this competition?

The cross-continental cohort registration will be open until Nov 5th with potential extensions until Nov 10th.

Who can participate?

The Cross-Continenal Cohort is a special edition in collaboration with faculty members from various institutions. There needs to be a faculty in charge who will act as the head coach of the cohort. 
If you are interested as a competitor, please see the regular stream.

How many people can be part of a team?

Teams are matched based on profile. Upon registration there will be a survey to ask each competitor about their background, interest and skillsets. Then they will be matched with a team composed of 3 other continent participants. 

 

If my friends have different backgrounds, can we still make a team?

If you have friends interested in this special cohort, from the same institution, you are free to register. Teams are composed of different competitors from each country. 

Can I add this experience to my resume?

Absolutely! You will be receiving a certificate under the World Case Comittee for taking part of the Special Cross-Continental Cohort. You will also receive one for the regular stream if you continue the progress with the rest of the cases. 

Is this event online or in person?

The Cross-Continental Cohort is held online. With a welcoming conference, a coaching session, and presentation with judges online. 

How do we qualify for the finals?

This special cohort will qualify the top 2 teams to present online or in-person at the Finale Conference in parallel with the top finalists of the regular stream based on points accumulated. 

Can I join is I don't have experience?

Yes and Yes! We provide many resources to help you succeed. Trying is the first step. This competition is annual and will always be open to all. Therefore you can try the first year and come back for more in the next.
