Abstract Bopaq, a Montreal-based company, has pioneered a reusable packaging solution aimed at reducing single-use plastic waste in the foodservice industry. This case study explores Bopaq’s innovative business model, operational strategies, market penetration, and technological advancements. We analyze the challenges faced by the company, including funding limitations and operational complexities, while highlighting its environmental and economic impact. Proposed solutions include implementing a loyalty program, B Corp certification, and exploring new D2C (Direct to Consumer) models. The findings provide insights into the potential for scaling Bopaq’s solutions globally and contribute to discussions on sustainable packaging innovations.
